Our mission 100 years ago and it still is to promote the welfare of Women through opportunities for spiritual, social, intellectual and physical development.
Education to the under privileged and the Society at large is YWCA’s main aim. Empowering Women with skills in cooking, sewing, grooming had been ongoing. By conducting various talks on health issues, parenting and various others topics of interest. Members are well equipped with the current issues.
YWCA Penang provides support services for families in the form of Day care and Pre-school Education. YWCA set up its Kindergarten in 1954. Here young children from all walks of life are provided a nurturing environment in order to prepare them for primary education. Since its inception, this Kindergarten has grown from strength to strength and has become an important training ground for many children.
